This week on SportsGrid

It’s been a busy week for me on and here are the highlights.

Eric Wynalda does his best Kenny Powers impression south of the border (probably with a comparable amount of swearing). Also from the world of soccer is this hilariously terrible own goal from Brazil and this equally humorous and egregious goalkeeping error from the soccer hotbed that is Morocco.

There’s also Colts’ owner Bill Polian and his wandering tongue on the prospect of an 18-game NFL schedule, most of which he has since retracted.

Finally, as the leaves change and the air acquires that delicate nip here in North America, it’s prime season for multinational (and controversy-laden) sporting events around the globe. They check in this week with a new monkey police force keeping India’s Commonwealth Games safe from, well other monkeys, and the organizers of the UCI Road World Championships in Geelong, Australia fretting over rogue cyclists.

Remember folks, keep your wombats on leashes, and check out my word at all week long.
