Your source for all things Delco League

It’s been a busy week in Delaware County, though many of the local baseball and softball teams are winding down, thanks to the best-of-five championship series of the Delco Baseball League. And there’s one reporter who’s been all over it.

So as the series heads to Monday’s Game 4 with Wayne holding a 2-1 series edge over Aston Valley, what better time than the present to catch up on all the action.

In Thursday’s Game 1, Wayne’s Todd Rizzo hurled a complete-game shutout in a 10-0 win.

In Friday’s Game 2, it was Aston Valley’s Matt Wilcox tossing up bagels as his team evened the series with a 1-0 victory.

Saturday’s column highlights how the two frequent foes continued to go back and forth in Game 3, a 9-7 win by Wayne, with the offense generated changing the face of the series.

As always, head to delcotimes.com for all the latest from Delaware County.
