A few highlights:

Some game story action from the Delaware County Daily Times. A little analysis from the high school gridiron, in victory and in defeat. And then there’s this look at the happenings on the collegiate football field.

The classic game story, pure and simple, with some post-game analysis

It’s not all fun, games and column in Delco, as I go courtside for a game story on a big Sixers win

Then some game action as well as news and notes from the Phillies

Soccer may be boring to some, but even the Philadelphia Union provides more action than a single game story can hold, hence this sidebar

High school football season is in full swing, meaning there’s plenty of writing to do. It starts with the previews — like those of Sun Valley, Archbishop Carroll and Upper Darby. But what are previews without games? Some are one-sided. Actually, a lot of them are one-sided. A lot. Some involve surprising competitiveness, especially when neighborhood rivalries like the Media Bowl are contested. Others turn into classics that go right down to the wire. And others involve cagey play, if not a lot of offense, like this pair of Episcopal Academy contests.

And once in a while, there’s a long enough lull in the action to look ahead to the next slate of games and focus on some individual accomplishments, like the impressive season George Walker is putting together

All you ever wanted to know about Jesuit basketball and much, much more

The nitty-gritty basketball news on transfers, and a little more on transfers

Yes, yes, I do more than just cover basketball, as these lacrosse players will attest

Some serious non-sports issues right here and a little breaking news

A lot of research, a little writing, and some practice of my Cyrillic…you’ll figure it out when you read it

A bit of creative silliness at the expense of Tiger, Elin, and Perkins and endless baseball games
